Illinois CIBER supports International Business Immersion Programs (IBIP) to regions around the world. These intensive overseas experiences are preceded by a semester-long class, which requires students to prepare background materials on business firms, topics, and institutions in the overseas region. A final paper or project after the overseas immersion experience will be due. Faculty advisors, supported by CIBER, accompany students and structure their learning experience abroad. Faculty in the College of Business teach U of I courses in different parts of the world. The courses fulfill campus or department degree requirements and also qualify for the Certificate in Global Business.
The College of Business Study Abroad Office offers several Business International Programs for both undergraduate and graduate students. To learn about these programs please visit the College of Business Study Abroad Office.
International internships are not available through our office. We do, however, offer travel grants for students in the Global Business Certificate Programs who are doing overseas internships. We also have a list of resources for finding an international job or internship.
